Three kinds of job, built one way
Stone, planting, or the whole backyard. The same crew builds all three, Daniel Kowalczyk is on site for all three, and all three start below the surface.

Most landscape trouble in the GTA starts underground. The ground here is glacial till and clay with high frost susceptibility, and a 2025 geotechnical report filed with the City for a site on Eglinton Avenue West puts the frost design depth at 1.2 m. Clay that holds water lifts in winter and drops in spring. Stone laid on it without a proper base moves with it, which is why so many ten-year-old patios have a hump by the back door.
So every job we build starts with the dig, the grade and the base, whether it is a 300 sq ft patio or a full backyard. We tell you what that part costs before we talk about pavers, and we do not trim it to fit a budget. If the number is too high, we make the patio smaller.
